All images on this website are ones I have taken. It has taken years to develop the skill to capture this range of photography, but it has been fun for me to learn. I will be working to post about what I am up to and share with you the fun I am having working on various projects. Stick around for tips and tricks and some insight into how I get the shots I do.

I have been shooting since 2008 and have had experience teaching a photography class with curriculum for the last year, so I decided hey, there are even more people I can help get into this field. Even if just to learn to take their own great photos.
The Black Gold Project
My project called Black Gold is the big one. It is a multi-phase documentary and photobook project which will include podcast and blog elements. The goal is to encourage Black People to know their worth, connect with their culture, and heal from our trauma. Through out each ACT we will focus on specific groups or subjects to reflect and share stories of real people, and how they deal with challenges related to being in black skin. For people of every combination and hue with roots to Africa, this project looks to build community, and give a chance for us to tell our story and make history.

Headshots
Headshot sessions. They are simple we assess the position you are looking to move to and shoot accordingly. This is Sabrina, a happy client. We completed her shoot and less than three weeks later she had her new position. Updating your LinkedIn profile with pictures that show you are serious about yourself, can help other people take a second look.

Commercial Clients
Velvet’s Big Easy, is one of my commercial clients. Robust genuine southern flavor in the Pacific Northwest. She prides herself on using the best ingredients and seasonings and it comes through in the flavor. We are working on her website and will be posting more recipes as summer continues. With dishes including Vegan Gumbo, Shrimp Etoufee, and Sausage and Chicken Gumbo, all you have to do is taste and you’ll be hooked. I promise.
Up and coming Louisiana Soul Food caterer by the name of “Velvet’s Big Easy Catering”. Start looking for a food truck within the next year or so.

Family Mini Shoots
