Revisiting...A day at the beach
A day at the beach with Scarlett
Being a photographer sometimes involves taking a look back at past shoots. I often find things I didn’t see or appreciate in past shoots. Meet Scarlett, we met at a photographer/model meet-up. It was at Owen Beach in Tacoma, lot’s of photographers, a few models. We found a cool spot and worked to create some memorable photos. Since this shoot in 2017, I have continued to learn, have worked to improve editing techniques and vision. I see possibilities in shots that I didn’t see in the past. It’s a lot like life, when we look back on our past with current information, we see benefits we maybe didn’t notice at the time.
The photos in this post are 85% new. A few have been shared, all have been re-edited or edited for the first time. This meetup didn’t have the luxury of stylists and make up artists outside of the models doing it themselves. Scarlett brought the sunglasses and the fur coat. It was different, lol and it all worked.
Some of the most fun things are seeing how many variations of photos can come from one postion or pose.
If you are a model or aspiring model, and need portfolio images or a new comp card, in order to find an agent or signup with an agency, or just to get started. Check out the sessions we offer by clicking the button below.
Also, always looking for muses to participate in fun, all muses are people I have worked with previously. All shoots are open to accompaniment (friends, siblings, parents etc.) being on set. To sign up for that list, you’ll need to have worked with me in the past or have done a mini shoot with MJP. If you want to join the Muse List, click the button below.
